Contemporary bathroom renovation

Bathroom_C11.JPG

This modern bathroom is now where an old walk-in cupboard was, and the cupboard was built in an old verandah at the rear of a Federation miners cottage circa 1905 in Ballarat. With the cupboard demolished we could see the old verandah floor and structure was rotten, with no stumps at all into the foundation. We let the plumber run his pipes then built a new floor with concrete stumps, hardwood sub floor timbers and water resistant particle board flooring. New windows were set out, stud walls replaced, set downs in floor for walk-in showers and bath installed in a timber hob.

This job required a great deal of client trade co-ordination, with carpenter, plumber, hydraulic heating plumber, tiler, electrician, plasterer, painter, cabinet maker and shower screen installer all requiring time and scheduling to complete their works. The end result included a new main bathroom, a new ensuite for the master bedroom, a linen cupboard, polished board walk-way and a new 4 door built in robe in the master bedroom.
